James
Hi, I’m James!
I was born and raised in Victoria, but also spent a lot of my childhood in a small fishing town called Bamfield on the West Coast of Vancouver Island. I have always enjoyed working with students and was coaching many sports teams before I decided to become a teacher. I graduated from the University of Victoria in 2013 with a Bachelor of Education with an emphasis on Social Studies. Since then I have taught at Glenlyon Norfolk School, and currently teach middle Social Studies, Math, and Physical Education at Cathedral School in Victoria. During that time I also completed my IB Primary Years Program Category One and currently serve on various district committees for the LIMSSA athletics programs. Most recently, I went back to school to complete my Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and Management at Royal Roads University with a focus on the Indigenization of Curriculum.
I enjoy tutoring students in any subject but my focus has been on Math and Science.
I specialize in the following subjects:
K-8 Core
Math (K -10)
Science
Language Arts
Social Studies
